SILICON RUBBER AIR CHIMNEYS

We fabricate air chimneys from high temperature Silicon Rubber, for all sizes of power tubes. We can design them to match your requirements, to help you reduce wasted space around the power tube and there is no minimum order if we can use in-stock material!

HIGH POWER ROTARY SWITCHES

These switches are designed to handle high current and high voltage from DC to high frequency RF. The switch wafers can be assembled to form a wide variety of configurations, the maximum number of ways are 11, with a detent angle of 30 degrees and this allows the spindle to be ganged with smaller, off the shelf switches, for control circuits etc. Each wafer has a built in detent mechanism to allow multiple wafers to be ganged together and this ensures positive contact selection on each wafer.

HIGH POWER RF SWITCHED INDUCTOR

These switched inductors are formed from 0.5 inch diameter copper tubing which is supported on 1 inch ceramic insulators. Switches can be provided with up to 10 taps and if used with a 250pf tuning capacitor it is possible to cover from 3.3MHz to >30MHz (upper frequency limit depends upon stray circuit capacitances) at RF power levels in excess of 10kW.

The built in detent mechanism is designed to operate with standard 30 degree switches allowing other circuits, such as input matching networks to be selected by operating the main switch. The main spindle is designed to accept 0.25 inch coupling spindles which allows the user to incorporate insulated or metal hardware and to determine the optimum position for the inductor without having to worry about intermediate couplings etc.

A silver plated option is available and multiple wafers can be added if necessary

Overall switch dimensions are (approximately) 7 x7 x 11.5 inches for the switched inductor shown in the photograph.
