The unit shown above is the CS-13MD it has two display modules included which indicate the difference between the two channels in terms of phase and power.
In a two generator combining operation it is important to ensure that the phase difference of the two input signals is as close to zero as possible if full combining is to take place and to avoid excessive dissipation. Likewise, the power difference display allows fine adjustment of one of the generators RF outputs. These displays are especially useful in systems where different lengths of coax feed-line are involved or if the RF generators are dissimilar or do not have locked, in-phase outputs. Data output signals can be made available from these units to allow fine tuning of process control parameters.
Where the need arises our Hybrid Phase Shifter (PS-13-3k) can be connected in series with one port to enable the user to adjust the phase difference to zero.
